Helicopter Reach Pendants and Sling Legs
The OPR Helicopter Recovery Pendant is designed to connect external vertical loads to a helicopter quickly, safely, and efficiently. The pendant is made from torque free synthetic rope and provides a means to "reach" and place the upper eye on the helicopter hook as the helicopter hovers above a load.The effectiveness of our Helicopter Reach Pendants has been validated by decades of use by militaries around the globe.
We offer a range of standard Helicopter Reach Pendants with varying safe working loads (SWLs). In addition to these standard pendants, we can customize to suit your job or aircraft. Customizations include overall length, reach tube length, size of terminations/fittings, and more. We also offer customizable sling legs for use with our Helicopter Reach Pendants.

Fast Rope Insertion and Extraction Systems (FRIES)
OPR provides Fast Ropes that soldiers and militaries around the globe can put their trust in. Our Fast Ropes are manufactured in accordance with MIL-F-44422 and meet operational requirements for rapid personnel insertion from helicopters into no landing zone areas.
We provide customization in length, diameter, color, and type of end termination. Our range of end terminations, or eye splices, allow our Fast Ropes to be used with an array of helicopters and attachment hardware. These end terminations include soft eyes of varying length, ABLE (Amsteel Blue) eyes coated in polyurethane, soft eyes with permanently fixed steel rings, and more. We also provide our Fast Ropes with or without Fiber Rope Assembly Insertion/ Extraction loops.
Our Fast Ropes are manufactured from 8-strand polyester, which provides enhanced abrasion resistance and reduces recoil or “bounce” when compared to nylon ropes.

Special Patrol Insertion and Extraction Systems (SPIES)
The S.P.I.E.S. is a critical piece of equipment for special operations and rescue teams to rapidly insert or extract personnel in no landing zones, and OPR’s S.P.I.E.S. provide the reliability and strength required.
We offer standard lengths of 120 ft and 150 ft, however, are able to customize length based on your needs. Our S.P.I.E.S. are available in white or black with an abrasion resistant coating designed to increase working life and mitigate the risk of cuts or tears in the rope. Ten rings (D-Rings) are inserted through the rope for carabiner attachment. Each ring is proof tested to 2,500 and the full assembly is proof tested to 10,000 lb.

Special Operations Ladders
Our Special Operations (Spec-Ops) Ladders are non-conductive and made of high strength Technora™ rope resistant to salt water corrosion and heat. Available in multiple lengths, our ladders feature polyurethane coated eyes and Steps molded in place from Verton RF-700-12 EM (a Nylon 6.6, 60% long-glass-fiber-reinforced composite). Each rung is proof-tested at 600 lb and the minimum breaking strength of each side is 5,600 lb.
